I forgot…

I just wanted to share with you something that I noticed after I stopped drinking diet Pepsi.  It's funny because while I was drinking diet Pepsi I would never have thought I would have this side effect because of drinking diet Pepsi.  But I noticed after I stopped drinking it that I wasn't forgetting anything anymore.  So now I'm not randomly for gaining to close the door creating a doctor's appointments…  EX cetera.

CRAZY

So as you all know I quit drinking Diet Pepsi. I just want to vent a little and inform everyone that while I feel like I have been eating better (and drinking better) I have GAINED weight. NOT cool. Obviously I'm not happy about it. I just don't understand how eating (and drinking) better has me gaining weight.

Going to talk to my doctor about it cause I thought once you eat and drink healthy you lose weight. Maybe I had it wrong.

Sharing

I saw a video and I want to share it. To be absolutely blunt the video I want to share is 2 hours long. Now I understand most people won't watch it for 2 hours. I watched all of it. Though to be honest, I did pause it quite a lot.This is the 2 hour video I want you to check out. The only reason I am sharing the video is because I saw things that just clicked and it made sense. If the same happens for you please leave a comment cause I would love to know your thoughts.

Mexican Soda

So my Zelda buddy told me a store carried soda with real sugar in it. He told me this because he knows why I don't drink Diet Pepsi. Anyway he told me about this mexican soda brand name Jarrotos.
And I'm not being racist when I say mexican soda. This soda is made in Mexico. Anyway the flavor says Toronja which translates to grapefruit. I had my husband open the bottle and took a tentative sip of the soda.

To to my surprise it tasted pleasantly like Sprite. There is nothing wrong with Sprite. I like it. It's just not my drink of choice. My husband picked a Strawberry Jarrots soda but hasn't opened it, so I have yet to taste it. If you live in the Shenandoah, Pa area and want to buy this drink I got mine at the One Stop Shop.

Diet Coke

The good news is I have kept my promise of not drinking Diet Pepsi. The bad news is I drank some Diet Coke. Now I have never liked Diet Coke. In my opinion it doesn't taste the same as Diet Pepsi. But because I did have Diet Coke and I am assuming it has aspartame in it I am writing about it.

For the record I got it from McDonald's. So I am going to describe the taste of it to you. Honestly BLECK! It tastes dry and wet. A funny combination but that's what it tastes like. Makes me wonder what Diet Pepsi will taste like to me now.

TMI

Nothing new has been happening. But here's a side TMI note, if you're interested, I have to #1 it more often now that I have stopped drinking Diet Pepsi. I don't say soda because Diet Pepsi is the only soda I used to ever drink.

I wonder if my water pills will work now.......................................................

Status Report

I know it has been a few days since I last posted and some of you might think that I gave in to temptation. But I didn't. I haven't had even a drop of Diet Pepsi.

Life seems normal to me. I haven't noticed any more side effects. I did have a stomach ache earlier today but I blame drinking too many Snapple Apples.

Just something else I have to cut back on. Funny thing. Water seems to be growing on me. Liking the refreshing taste that it brings me. Much better than a can of soda.

Don't get me wrong there are still times I long for a sip of Diet Pepsi. But I also think because I cut out soda that subconsciously I cut out a lot of junk food. Probably because the taste of one thing doesn't seem to taste so great without the other.

Hopefully I am losing weight. I go to the doctors in March so I will see how I am doing then. I have weighed myself but sorry there is no way I am posting it for the world to see.

It may just be a number but its my number and I'll share it if I want to.

And I don't want to. : P
